Booking Policy

Booking & Consultation

• Weddings, engagements, birthdays, and special events require a consultation to discuss vision, timeline, and logistics before booking is confirmed.
• Studio sessions require advance notification to ensure proper setup.
• A deposit via invoice is required to confirm and hold your date.

Payment Terms

• A non-refundable deposit secures your booking date.
• Final payment must be completed at least 24 hours before your event or session.
• Bookings without final payment 24 hours prior will be automatically cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
• Accepted methods: Invoice, Cash, Venmo, Zelle, Credit/Debit Card.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

• 24-hour notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling requests.
• Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice forfeit the deposit.
• Rescheduling is subject to availability.
• Late arrivals: Sessions end at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session with no adjustment to pricing.

Photo Delivery Timeline

Timeline modifications will be communicated at the time of booking. The studio reserves the right to adjust timelines with advance notice.

Gallery Access & File Delivery

• Photos are delivered via an Adobe Lightroom online gallery.
• Gallery access is available for 90 days from the delivery date.
• Please download your photos within this timeframe. The studio is not liable for loss of images after gallery expiration.
• Images are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs. Clients are responsible for their own backups.

Editing Style & Retouching

• Professional color correction and exposure adjustments are included with every package.
• Temporary imperfections are removed as part of standard editing.
• Heavy retouching is not offered in any package.
• Mykel Studios maintains a natural, authentic editing style. The photographer selects the final delivered images.

Image Rights & Usage

• Mykel Studios retains full copyright of all images.
• Clients receive personal use rights and a print release.
• Commercial use of images is prohibited without written permission.
• The studio retains the right to use images for marketing and portfolio purposes.
• We ask that clients credit @mykelstudios when sharing images on social media.
• Booking with Mykel Studios grants permission for promotional use of your photos.

Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances

• Outdoor sessions may be rescheduled for inclement weather at no charge. Indoor backup locations will be discussed during consultation.
• In the event of photographer illness or emergency, your session will be rescheduled or a full refund issued.
• Equipment failure: your session will be rescheduled at no charge. Backup equipment is always on hand.

Client Responsibilities

• Arrive on time. Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time regardless of arrival.
• Communicate any special requests in advance.
• For events, provide a timeline, vendor list, and shot list ahead of time.
• A parent or guardian must be present for sessions involving minors and must sign a model release.
• Studio guests should be limited to immediate family unless arranged in advance.
• No substances or alcohol during sessions. The photographer reserves the right to end a session under these circumstances without a refund.

Additional Fees & Services

• Travel fees apply for locations beyond 20 miles from Everett, WA.
• Overtime is available at an hourly rate.
• Rush delivery is available for an additional fee.
• Additional editing, retouching, or special effects are available for an additional fee.

Privacy & Data Protection

• Your contact information is never sold or shared with third parties.
• Information collected is used solely for booking and communication purposes.
• All images are stored securely and backed up.
• Clients may opt out of marketing use of their images at any time.
